I've been in very hard places throughout my life, and have certainly resorted to alcohol at times to try to fill a void that doesn't get healed at the bottom of the bottle. I am so insanely proud of you for realizing that you have so much more potential than your brain had told you, and that there are ways out of cycles and patterns of addiction despite it being extremely difficult. You have proved to me and to many others that addiction shouldn't be the end of the story; maybe its the beginning of a new one. I may still drink, but your resilience and fighter mentality have made me realize that if I ever think things are going to far... there is always a way out if you're strong enough, and I think all of us are capable of finding that inner strength. Thank you for sharing your story, thank you for finding a way, thank you for still being here with us.
